A robust solution giving the flexibility to accurately test both short and long fibers.

The PerkinElmer Polarisation Mode Dispersion( PMD500HS) uses a combination of two standardised PMD measurement methods for fiber and cable testing to obtain a wide PMD measurement range.

A New interferometer design with enhanced motion linearity and  programmable scans for screening and testing of all fiber lengths, and a new dual scan high speed fixed analyser enabling fast testing of ultra low PMD values.

For Polarisation Mode Dispersion (PMD), the PMD500 utilises multiple measurement methods:

High Speed Interferometry enables efficient screening of all samples to identify problem fibers.
High Speed Fixed Analyser wavelength scanning method, allowing measurement of PMD values down to 0.03ps.
High Speed ‘Biased’ Fixed Analyser wavelength scanning method, allowing measurement of PMD values down to 0.005ps.
The functionality of the included ‘PEcon’ software allows for automatic and sequential testing of all parameters with a single connection of the sample and a single button press.
