TimeCreator 1000 DTI Server enables cable operators to manage network quality, monitor performance, and support frequency and timestamps synchronised to nanosecond levels.

The flexible deployment of the TimeCreator 1000 enables network operators to balance economics, scalability, functionality and carrier class reliability against the demand of consumers for high-speed, high-bandwidth networks. TimeCreator 1000 is a fundamental part of a cable operator’s headend or hub network deploying M-CMTS, DOCSIS 3.0 or Business Services over DOCSIS. The TimeCreator 1000 provides cable operators with an essential part of the infrastructure they need to build secure, fast, state-of-the-art networks while increasing scalability and flexibility for advanced, next-generation standards including DOCSIS 3.0.

Designed to Meet the Demands of High-Performance Cable Networks

TimeCreator 1000 is a standards compliant DOCSIS Timing Interface (DTI) Server with optional GPS traceability, redundant clock cards, redundant power supplies and an NTP Server option. For carrier grade systems supporting voice and other critical applications high reliability can be achieved by configuring the TimeCreator 1000 with redundant power supplies and clock cards for hitless switching. In applications where either stratum-1 traceability is needed for interconnecting sites, interfacing with other carriers, Business Services, location management or Time of Day services, TimeCreator 1000 supports optional GPS traceability.

Integrated DOCSIS Timing Interface Server Ensures Frequency & Timestamp Sync

DOCSIS Timing Interface Server capabilities ensure that the M-CMTS core, Edge QAM and upstream are synchronised to nanosecond levels to support the existing DOCSIS requirements for frequency and timestamps that existed in the traditional CMTS. With TimeCreator 1000 in an M-CMTS architecture, a cable modem receive its synchronisation from the Edge QAM so that it is synchronised to other cable modems to properly transmit to the upstream burst receiver.

Performs Client-Side Management, Monitoring and Calibration

TimeCreator 1000 manages the synchronisation quality of the network not only at the server side, but at the client output as well. TimeCreator 1000 continuously monitors each individual client’s performance as well as automatically calibrating the client and detecting any timing loops at startup.
